The DNQ Cup series is going to open up its engine rules starting with the July race at AAR Speedway. This comes as the series is looking to add competition in its premier series. "The cup series will now allow stock appearing animal engines and flat head engines as well." "Both engines produce a lot of power, the power is close to the clones and predators that we have been racing in the cup series." "However if it gets to be a big advantage to have one or the other we will put rules in place to even them out." "This will be a bit of a learning curve to get them just right but I think it will add competition." "As of right now the flat-heads and animals will have to run at 400LBS, but I think people will be surprised at how strong the clones have gotten." "This series is built on high horsepower and the drivers love it."
