(Troutman N.C.) The DNQ Series has announced the September Iredell County Fair race will serve as a night to honor racing how it was in the past. "The dnq series has always honored throwbacks with events such as The Winston and the Busch Classic, but this time it will be even more special for the DNQ Series". The Series has deemed this night as a throwback night. "It is so much fun to throw on an old shirt from back in the day and watch a race. Many of the Busch Series drivers honor throwbacks all the time so this time we will make it worth something." The series has set up a $100 Prize for the best appearing throwback kart of the night. "This is a way to honor all of the guys that take the time to make their karts as nice as they do." Fans will vote for their favorite throwback kart on the DNQ Facebook Page. At the end of the night we will tally up the votes and give the winner $100.Fans and crews of each team are also encouraged to wear any old racing memorabilia they have. "This event is very special to all of us at the series, I cant think of any other way to make this event more redneck than a bunch of Earnhardt shirts, carnival rides, racing and some Funnel Cakes."
