2018 DNQ Series Rule Updates

(Mooresville N.C.) The DNQ Series is undergoing a large transition into the 2018 season, After 4 years of racing the DNQ Series will head into it 5th year of fun and exciting racing. "This series has come so far from where it started, but with time comes change, with that being said we have spent a lot of time listening to the owners, fans, and the drivers. We have learned a lot as a series over the years and I think these rules and updates are going to grow the series even more. I cant wait to see how next year plays out." We have also talked to Millbridge about running a dirt road course event this season, and it looks like we will be able to do that as well.

Unless Specified All Rules From 2017 Remain Except For Those Mentioned Here

2018 Point System

- The Point System will be the same for all DNQ Series with the exception of the Modified Tour

- Points will be awarded in the old style Winston Cup Series Point System

- Regular season will be races 1-5 The Chase will be races 6-9 or 10

- If a driver wins a race in the regular season and can stay in the top 12 in points they will be given a chase birth

- The Top 8 Drivers will make the Chase Wins Coming First Then Points (Winners In Top 12 In Points Will Be Locked In Before Drivers In The Point Standings)

- The driver that wins the regular season,(races 1-5) will be given 65 chase points, Race winners will be given 25 chase point bonus per win going into the chase. You may use a fill-in driver once a year. We will drop your worst finish from races 1-5

- The Chase Points will reset leaving only the bonuses earned during the regular season. The chase will be races 6-9 or 10. The Chase will then be points based all the way to the end of the season, Drivers that win in the chase will be given the normal points given in the regular season. There are no cuts just points from races 6-9 or 10.
